I grew up in Toledo, Ohio. My dad was a truck driver; he was a very neat and clean person, and he didn’t demand a lot out of life. I took a lot of the things that I learned from him as far as taking care of myself, my family, my properties, and now my employees. I’ve always believed in working really hard, trying to do the right thing, and doing right by others. I never could have imagined when I first started out that I would enjoy the business and the relationships that I have today. And each year it continues to grow and we continue to bring on more employees and we’re improving all the time. My dad said to me years ago, “If something ever happens to ya, you sure had fun along the way.” And I remember that phrase, him saying to me where I was at the time, y’know it’s a pretty good accomplishment to say the kid from Toledo, Ohio grew it from where it was in the beginning to where it is today. It’s not so much about making money, it’s about getting better all the time.
I want to get better; I’m not there yet. I’m really proud of my organization. I’m proud of my employees, I’m proud of the things that we’ve accomplished. My vision is to continue to grow and put more people around us and move the company ahead for the next 10, 20, 30 years and let it be a leader in the community. But the bottom line is, at the end of the day, we take care of the customer and our employees and try to do the right thing.

LOU ANN GIBBS, PROPERTY MANAGER
Lou Ann was born and raised in a small town in western Kentucky with a population of just over 400 people. After toiling through the ‘mandatory’ baby-sitting years of her youth, she was hired for her first real job: weighing trucks at a rock quarry. Upon graduating college, Lou Ann moved to Columbia, TN and began a career in accounting with Union Carbine, working with the company for 25 years. In November of 2011, she joined the Bostelman Realty team as the Property Manager for our realty portfolios, where she enjoys the growing challenges of a thriving business environment. Her favorite part about working with Bostelman Realty is getting to meet new people and helping to find innovative solutions to their needs. When Lou Ann is not providing top-notch service for our realty clients, she likes to spend time with her family and particularly relishes their Sunday dinners together.
