Maury County

Lawrence County

Situated along a major thoroughfare from Mississippi up through Nashville, Jackson’s Military Road, Lawrence County began as a small collection of farmers and frontiersmen building their lives after the War of 1812. Over the years, numerous migrations of new residents brought change and economic development to the area, from South Carolinians in the early 1800s to German Catholics in the 1870s and Alabamans in the early 1900s to the Amish in the 1940s. Williamson County is the fastest growing county in the state of Tennessee, and it’s plain to see why.
